Why Shadowsocks Windows
The official Windows client is a lightweight system-tray app. It supports the ss:// SIP002 URI format — the same format Store4Gateway access keys use — so import is one paste.
Step 1 — Get the app
Direct download (no GitHub required)
Download Shadowsocks-4.4.1.0.zip from our mirror on the install page, or directly from github.com/shadowsocks/shadowsocks-windows/releases.
Extract the ZIP to any folder. No installer is needed — run Shadowsocks.exe directly.
.NET Framework 4.7.2 or later is required. It ships with Windows 10 and later by default.
Step 2 — Import your Store4Gateway access key
- Log in to store4gateway.com/dashboard.
- Click Copy URL — the
ss://link is now in your clipboard. - Right-click the Shadowsocks tray icon → Servers → Import URL from Clipboard.
- The server entry is added automatically.
Alternatively, scan the QR code:
- On the dashboard, display the QR code.
- Right-click the tray icon → Servers → Scan QR code from Screen.
- The server entry is added.
Step 3 — Connect
- Right-click the tray icon → Servers → select the Store4Gateway entry.
- Right-click → Enable System Proxy (or choose Global mode for all traffic).
- The tray icon turns coloured when connected.
Step 4 — Verify
Open store4gateway.com/check in your browser.
You should see "✓ You're connected via our proxy".
Troubleshooting
"Missing .NET Framework" error on launch
- Download .NET Framework 4.7.2+ from Microsoft's official site.
Proxy not applied to all apps
- Switch from PAC mode to Global mode: right-click tray → System Proxy Mode → Global.
- Some apps bypass the system proxy; use a VPN-style TUN adapter (e.g., Clash on Windows) if you need full-tunnel routing.
Import fails
- Make sure you copied the full
ss://URL. Paste it into Notepad first to confirm the clipboard contains the URL.
